Custom Nightguards
A custom-fitted nightguard or occlusal guard is a preventative device for patients who have had periodontal surgery, have bite imbalances, or have a parafunctional habit like clenching or grinding. These devices help to alleviate stresses on the temporomandibular joint. Made of durable, flexible plastic, an occlusal guard can be made for either the upper or lower jaw depending on the clenching or grinding habit. Oral appliances are evaluated at each dental visit.
